Michael J. Fox
On the whole, the 'Back to the Future' movies are delightfully fun, but things took a turn for the worse behind the scenes.
In the third flick, Michael J. Fox – who played Marty McFly – had to be hanged by the neck, and managed to convince the crew to perform the stunt himself by demonstrating he knew exactly where to place his hand on the noose to prevent suffocating.
However, the actor miscalculated and began to choke. He nearly died until the production team realised he was in big trouble, and rushed to cut him down.
Michael recalled: "I swung unconscious at the end of the rope for several seconds before [director] Bob Zemeckis, fan of me though he was, realized even I wasn't that good of an actor."
