Joey's busted arm

Fans were puzzled for years as to why Matt LeBlanc was wearing a sling in the season three episode ‘The One with the Jam’.

It was hastily written into the episode that his character Joey had injured himself bouncing on his bed.

However, in reality, LeBlanc had dislocated his shoulder on set during filming of the previous week’s episode when Joey and Chandler got into a fight over a chair.

He later revealed: "Somehow I ended up completely upside down and I was going to land on my head between the table and the chair, so I put my arm up to break my fall and just exploded my shoulder.”
