Sinead O'Connor - Nothing Compares 2 U

The late singer - who died in 2023 at the age of 56 - achieved global fame with this ballad but it was in fact a cover of a track originally written by Prince for his band the Family in 1985. Prince later said: "I think that’s why I can write such good break-up songs, like ‘Nothing Compares 2 U.’ I ain’t heard no break-up song like I can write. The flowers are dead."
