Bruce Springsteen

The Boss was at the centre of a theological course at Rutgers University in his home state of New Jersey.

Professor Azzan Yadin-Israel looked into the religious underpinnings of Springsteen's lyrics as many of his songs include references to faith.

He said: "On a literary level, Springsteen often recasts biblical figures and stories into the American landscape."
