'The Shawshank Redemption' is arguably the best movie in Frank Darabont's portfolio, though he wasn't always going to direct the picture.
Before he got behind the camera, Frank was offered $2.5 million by Rob Reiner for the film's rights to his screenplay.
After mulling it over, Frank turned him down because he felt like 'The Shawshank Redemption' was his "chance to do something really great".
