Inaccurate adaption

Red is one of Morgan Freeman's most well-known roles, but the actor isn’t quite what Stephen King envisaged.

In the book, the inmate is described as a white Irishman, which of course isn't a description of Morgan.

There's even a cheeky nod to this inaccuracy in the movie in the scene where Andy asks why his nickname is Red.

He quips: "Maybe it's because I'm Irish."
