In the beloved song 'Summer Nights', after bragging about how he saved Sandy's life, one of the lads asks Danny, "did she put up a fight?" alluding to the fact that he potentially violated her.

Worse still, in the drive-in scene later in the film, Danny forces himself onto Sandy. When the uncomfortable girl makes it clear she doesn’t consent, the young man simply replies, "nobody is watching".
