Although she barely appears in the film, the Pink Lady Jan (Jamie Donnelly) is constantly mocked for her weight and appearance.

Throughout the picture, the Pink Lady can consistently be seen stuffing her face with sweet treats, with hurtful comments being thrown her way.

Then, at the end of the movie, T-Bird Putzie (Kelly Ward) casually tells the young lady, "I think there is more to you than just fat."

While less offensive, Danny Zuko (John Travolta) decides to join the athletics team after deciding his summer sweetheart Sandy Olsson (Olivia Newton-John) will find him much more attractive if he gets a better physique.
