Is rom-com musical classic Grease problematic?

'Grease' is one of the most beloved movies of all time, and is still as popular as ever. Even so, the 1978 movie hasn't aged particularly well, and contains a lot of aspects modern audiences squirm in their seats over. Why does it make people cringe?
