This was Vincent Price’s last role

Vincent Price was well-known for his horror roles in the '50s and '60s, in films such as ‘House of Wax’ and ‘The Pit and the Pendulum’. Burton was a huge fan of Price’s growing up and was delighted to cast Price in his last ever role as The Inventor in ‘Edward Scissorhands’, the man who made Edward and died before he could give him hands.

Price died just three years later in October 1993 at the age of 82.
