'Ain't no mountain high enough...' How Diana reigned supreme
Diana had enjoyed her first taste of solo success with 'Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)' in 1970. It peaked inside the Top 20, but the real test came when she was given the chance to record her own version of Marvin Gaye classic 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough' after she and her bandmates had released a moderately successful version of the track before. Diana was initially apprehensive about the song, but it topped the charts around the world and paved the way for her self-titled debut album.
