During the shocking scene when the beast first rears its head from the water as The Orca pursues it, Roy Scheider -who played Chief Brody - was so taken aback by the animatronic shark, that he uttered the line to relieve the tension.

Steven Spielberg loved it, and kept it in the final cut.
