Making a fedora cool

As a nod to his dancing hero, Fred Astaire, Michael wore a similar outfit to the one the star wore in the 1953 musical 'The Band Wagon', including his beloved Fedora hat.

The 'Earth Song' hitmaker inspired the likes of Bruno Mars to wear the hat and might even be the reason Pharrell Williams has a penchant for oversized headwear.

The 'When I Was Your Man' hitmaker once said: “I feel like he [Michael Jackson] set the bar for artists. Any artist, I don’t care what genre you do, you should always aspire to be like Michael Jackson.”
