Jackson - whose skin colour changed from black to white due to the skin condition Vitiligo - broke race barriers with his music videos for 'Beat It', 'Billie Jean' and 'Thriller' from his 1982 album 'Thriller'.

The song 'Black or White' is "a rock 'n' roll dance song about racial harmony".

It included the famous line: "It don't matter if you're black or white."
