Although the character is one of Spider-Man’s most iconic villains, Venom has not been translated from the page to the screen particularly well.

With a rather disappointing 30% on the site, ‘Venom’ - which stars Tom Hardy in the titular role as well as Ahmed Best and Michelle Williams - is hardly anything Sony should boast about.

Still, the film made a whopping $856.1 million at the box office, essentially giving the company the thumbs up for making another picture about the anti-hero.
