In this series, Tom Selleck (centre) starred as private investigator Thomas Magnum, who lived on the lavish estate of novelist Robin Masters in Oahu, Hawaii, solving cases for him.

A ratings hit throughout its run, it came to an end in 1989 with the episode 'Resolutions' which attracted 50.7 million viewers.
