'The Cosby Show' focused on the lives of the Huxtables: obstetrician Cliff and his lawyer wife Claire, their daughters Sondra, Denise, Vanessa and Rudy, and son Theo and was based on star Bill Cosby's stand-up routine.

After seven years on air, it came to an end in 1992 with the episode 'And So We Commence' which attracted 44.4 million viewers.
