Spin-off failure

Although the show had barely found its footing in the first season, CBS executives were desperate at trying their hands at creating a spin-off show.

During the episode 'J. 'Digger' Doyle', a security expert called Gray is introduced, and calls on Thomas to halt a potential assassination attempt against Robin Masters.

However, the reception to the character wasn't as positive as the executives had hoped it to be, and so the spin-off was cancelled.
