Fan mail frustrations

Michael Knight received a ton of fan mail throughout the years, but most of it went to the wrong Michael.

Instead of writing to David Hasselhoff, who played the hero, ‘Date with an Angel’ actor Michael Knight received the letters from young ‘Knight Rider’ fans intended for The Hoff.

The situation became so overbearing that the actor opted to change his name to Michael E. Knight.

However, the ‘Knight Rider’ connections don’t stop there, as Michael went on to marry Catherine Hickland, who appeared in three episodes of 'Knight Rider' as Michael Knight's fiancée Stevie Mason.
