Hasselhoff hated playing Michael Knight’s doppelganger

David Hasselhoff just couldn’t handle two parts!

In the Season 2 episodes ‘Goliath’ and ‘Goliath Returns’, The Hoff had to play Garthe Knight, the son of Wilton Knight, the Foundation for Law and Government (FLAG) that Michael Knight fights crime for.

In the show, Michael was originally undercover Los Angeles detective Michael Arthur Long, but after he is shot in the face whilst on a case is given a new identity and name, hence why he shares the same features as Garthe.

Villain Garthe proved to be so popular with viewers the producers wanted him to become a mainstay in the series.

However, David put a stop to their plans because he struggled to play two very different characters.
