In 2006 comedy-drama ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ Meryl Streep played demanding diva fashion magazine editor Miranda Priestly.

Streep, 72, followed the method acting approach, staying in character as Miranda around the cast, which included Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt.

Meryl admits playing someone so horrid took its toll.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, she said: “It was horrible! I was so depressed! I said, 'Well, it's the price you pay for being boss!’ That's the last time I ever attempted a method thing!”
