The Kooks and David Bowie
David Bowie (1947-2016) released in 1971 the song ‘Kooks’, featured in his album ‘Hory Dory.’ The track quickly became one of the favorites of his fans… including the members of the band fronted by Like Pritchard. The Kooks were named after Bowie’s song, as he was one of their greatest influences. Following the rock icon’s death, The Kooks shared the following message on social media: “Genuinely devastated. The legend has gone and left a hole in our hearts. Thanks again for the band name."
