Career beginnings

Glynis began her acting career on the stage in the 1930s and by the 1940s was appearing in movies. Pictured here alongside Flora Robinson and Barbara Everest in 1947's 'Frieda', it was noted by critics that she "seemed to epitomise modern British womanhood".
