In 1964, Glynis as cast as Mrs Winifred Banks in Disney musical movie 'Mary Poppins' alongside David Tomlinson, Dick Van Dyke and Julie Andrews. As the mother of children Jane and Michael who are in need of a nanny, Glynis sang the feminist number 'Sister Suffragette’. Her performance was hailed by critics and in 1998 she was named a Disney Legend.
