Bono
In 2003, the U2 legend was left panic-stricken when he realised he left his favourite hat behind in London after he arrived in Modena for Luciano Pavarotti’s charity concert.
Being incredibly rich, you would be forgiven in thinking he simply purchased another hat, but that is not what the Irish singer opted for.
Instead, Bono spent over $1,500 for his favourite headgear to flown to him on a British Airways flight, having first arranged for it to have its own seat, as well as several taxi journeys before it finally reached him
A spokesman for Bono explained how difficult it was explaining the situation to the befuddled taxi drivers.
They said: “It was tricky telling the drivers and British Airways what he was after, but it all worked out.”
