Cobie Smulders

The 41-year-old actress was diagnosed with ovarian cancer while filming Season 3 of 'How I Met Your Mother’. She, however, decided to keep her diagnosis private. Cobie underwent multiple surgeries to remove the affected tissue.

She opened up about her health journey in a 2015 interview with Women’s Health, once she was cancer-free.

Cobie said: “I had tumors on both ovaries. The cancer had spread into my lymph nodes and surrounding tissues."

While Smulders did overcome the disease, she admitted that "I don't think I'll ever feel like I'm cancer-free.

"Now that I'm five years out, I'm trying to think of it as a positive thing and what can I learn from it. And if I can create more awareness, I'll do it."
