Nick Jonas says he 'might have a little cocktail' before performing
Nick Jonas has revealed how he prepares as a musician and as an actor.
Nick Jonas "might have a little cocktail" before a concert.
The 33-year-old star has enjoyed huge success as a singer and as an actor, and Nick has now revealed how he prepares for both challenges.
Asked how his preparation differs, Nick - who is married to fellow film star Priyanka Chopra - told People: "I mean, it's the same thing at the end of the day. You're putting on a performance, you're opening up the walls of your personal life and experience to everyone else to kind of engage with.
"The only difference is, and this is actually not all that interesting, but the only difference is before a show, I'm relaxed. I might have a little cocktail, get the vibe right. For a scene, I'm not doing that."
Nick stars alongside Paul Rudd in Power Ballad, the new musical comedy drama film directed and co-written by John Carne, and the Hollywood actor has heaped praise on Nick.
The 57-year-old movie star said: "I learned that you could be an incredibly talented musician and still be the coolest, nicest guy. Nick, that is you. And you have a real way of conveying emotion and showing exactly what your character is thinking without saying anything, which is just the best thing to be able to do when you're acting."
Meanwhile, Nick previously heaped praise on Priyanka, observing that she's willing to "get her hands dirty" on set.
Nick - who starred in the Jonas Brothers alongside his siblings, Kevin and Joe - told Variety: "A camera matte box accidentally hit her in the eyebrow during the action sequence.
"She was bleeding, and I get a call that she’s been injured. I’m freaking out. But then she basically was like, ‘We need that to get this scene. I’m gonna tough it out.’ And she stayed in there and just grinded it out. Her determination, her grit, her willingness to get her hands dirty, really shows on the screen.
"You can feel her passion, her drive and the care that she brings to each role she plays. It’s a pretty big honour to get that front-row seat and get to watch her brilliance."
