Just recently Sarah Ferguson, 63, was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer.

For some time, her condition was kept a secret, until the Duchess of York herself addressed it on her podcast ‘Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah’, alongside Sarah Thompson.

The latter said: “I'm Sarah Thomson and I wanted to let you know that the Duchess of York has recently undergone surgery for breast cancer. Something as big and impactful as this has had an effect on all of us, but the duchess being the duchess has stayed strong throughout."

As for Fergie, she added: “Tomorrow I’m going in for mastectomy, a single mastectomy. It’s very important I speak about it. I think it’s so important that you do talk about it. I’m taking this as a real gift to me to change my life, to nurture myself. To stop trying to fix everyone else.”
