You can dance, you can jive!

In 2008, Meryl switched gears once again when she was cast as struggling mother-of-the bride Donna Sheridan in the jukebox musical 'Mamma Mia!', opposite a cast of A-Listers such as Pierce Brosnan and Julie Walters.

Meryl sang and danced her way through several ABBA numbers for the role.

Meryl had seen the Broadway show some years prior when it opened in New York in 2001 just weeks after the September 11 attacks and wrote to producer Judy Craymer personally to than her for bringing "light" to the city amid such a tragic event.
