From drama to comedy

After spending the 1980s earning her reputation as a dramatic actress, Meryl has used the latter years of her career to experiment with comedy.

Pictured here as ruthless fashion magazine editor Miranda Priestly in 2007's 'The Devil Wears Prada', she has also gone on to star in hits like 'It's Complicated' opposite Steve Martin and will soon be seen on screen with him again and with Selena Gomez in the third season of TV show 'Only Murders in the Building'. Despite earning yet another Oscar nomination for her role in 'The Devil Wears Prada', co-star Emily Blunt later said: "I remember talking to Meryl Streep when we did 'Devil Wears Prada', and she said it was her least favorite role, because you’re devoid of any softness or emotion really, and I understand that."
