Meryl's many voices

Meryl is also renowned for her unique ability to switch between various accents.

As well as her Polish accent in Sophie's Choice', Meryl mastered Danish in 'Out of Africa,' Australian in 'A Cry in the Dark', Irish in 'Dancing at Lughnasa' to name but a few.

Speaking of her many accents, she said: "You know, that's like the easiest thing I do. The kid part of it is copying a voice I've heard."
