Marc Bolan (1947-1977)

T-Rex rocker Marc Bolan passed away in a car crash in 1977 as his then girlfriend Gloria Jones crashed into a tree in southwest London. Bolan never learned how to drive as he feared an early death and appeared to foresee the tragedy. A scene from the 2017 BBC documentary 'Marc Bolan: Cosmic Dancer' shows the star's former manager Simon Napier-Bell telling the singer to be careful and not die in a Porsche like his hero James Dean. He then responded: “Oh I’m just tiny. I’d like to die in a Mini." The car in which Bolan died was a Mini 1275GT.
