Jim Morrison (1943-1971)
The Doors frontman died in 1971 and is part of the infamous 27 Club of musicians who passed at that age. According to VH1, a year before his death, the ‘Light My Fire’ hitmaker and some friends went to the Los Angeles bar Barney’s Beanery. Rock stars Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix had already died at the age of 27 just weeks apart and Morrison and his pals are believed to have been talking about how unexpected it was to lose two big music icons, before he said: “You’re drinking with number three. That’s right, number three.”
