Delta Goodrem has been announced as the next famous face set to compete on the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing.

The actress-turned-singer - who recently represented Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest - will compete for the mirrorball trophy when the show returns to screens later this year.

Speaking about her new gig, Delta said: “I’ve been incredibly honoured to perform on many different stages throughout my career - from TV, theatre, film sets, to touring my own shows around the world, there is however one stage I’ve never stepped onto and that is the ballroom floor!

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining Strictly and can’t wait to get started!”

The news was announced on Friday (12Jun26) on Strictly Come Dancing’s social media channels,

The news was officially revealed on Friday 12 June, on @bbcstrictly’s official social channels via Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube.

Delta will join previously announced contestants Dani Dyer and Lacey Turner in the show - with Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe taking over from Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman as presenters for the new series.

Dani was the second big name announced for the show, after her appearance on the 2025 series was cut short before the competition actually began due to an ankle injury during training.

In a statement, the 29-year-old Love Island star said: “I am so excited to be back in the ballroom this September!

“I just cannot wait to get my dancing shoes back on and hopefully this time around I can actually make it to week one! I’m just over the moon and cannot wait to find out who else is doing it!”

Dani was forced to pull out of Strictly Come Dancing on September 23 - days before the first live show on September 27 - after she fell and fractured her ankle during rehearsal on September 19.

In December 2025, Dani - who was replaced by fellow Love Islander Amber Davies, 29, who finished runner-up to winner Karen Carney - admitted she was hoping to do the 2026 series.

Dani told The Sunday Mirror's Notebook magazine: "It's up to Strictly because I would absolutely love to do it again. I didn't even really get to start my journey, so I think what's meant to be will be."
