ITV's Breaking Dad returns with seventh series
Breaking Dad follows father and son duo Bradley Walsh and Barney Walsh on adrenaline-filled adventures.
Bradley Walsh and Barney Walsh are back with a seventh series of ITV's Breaking Dad.
The father and son duo will be heading Down Under on a six-part "epic Australian adventure", which will see them marvel at the "vast wilderness and coastal thrills".
Bradley, 65, said: "It’s so good to be back on the road again with Barney.
"We really do have the best time, but I’m not quite sure what he has up his sleeve on this trip, which is slightly worrying …
"I was looking forward to a bit of sunshine and maybe a nice barbecue, but knowing Barney, I’ll be dodging great whites or jumping out of a plane before breakfast."
Their itinerary is far from boring, as he and Barney, 28, will be taking part in "adrenaline-rushing challenges" which will push Bradley to the limit.
Barney said: "I’m excited to embark on this new adventure with my dad and get him to experience the incredible culture, local activities and landscapes of Australia.
"It’s going to be an exciting and adrenaline-fuelled road trip with lots of fun and laughter. Australia is such an iconic destination with so much to offer - I can’t wait to see us both get stuck in Down Under!"
ITV is delighted about the return of Breaking Dad - which scooped up the Best Factual Show gong at the TV Choice Awards in 2020.
Sue Murphy, Director of Factual Entertainment Commissioning at the network, said: "We're thrilled that our very own father and son dynamic duo are back on the road, this time unleashing their inimitable charm onto unsuspecting Australia, as Barney continues to push Brad way beyond his comfort zones."
Breaking Dad is produced by Hungry Bear Media - owned by Daniel Baldwin, who has been married to former This Morning co-host Holly Willoughby, 45, since 2007.
And he teased that series seven of the ITV1 and ITVX programme is "one of the best yet".
The 51-year-old TV producer said: "Bradley and Barney are not just back, they're ‘outback’, as the boys drive the vast terrain of Australia.
"This series is one of the best yet. Breaking Dad brilliantly captures the messy, hilarious, and heartwarming reality of family travel. It’s a genuine reminder that the best part of any journey is who you’re sharing the driver’s seat with."
ITV is yet to confirm an air date for the new series of Breaking Dad.
