Made in Chelsea's Ollie Locke wants to front budget-friendly travel show
Made in Chelsea star Ollie Locke hopes to present a budget-friendly travel show one day.
Ollie Locke would love to host a budget-friendly travel show.
The Made in Chelsea star - who has just renewed his contract for the E4 reality TV show - wants to swap champagne-fuelled parties and lavish trips for down to earth adventures to prove that exploring the world on a budget can be just as exciting.
Ollie, 38, exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I’ve signed my contract for Made in Chelsea again for the main reason, I have three shows now before March, which is great, but I’ll be doing loads of stuff.
"A travel show would be amazing. Again, something really important for me is travelling, and I’d love to do something where you can travel on a budget. What people would find really interesting is that they can do it themselves.
"It's something that I absolutely adore doing, bargain holidays, but in a lovely way."
He added: "I'd love to do Borneo, I'd love to do the Amazon rainforest. That's something I’ve always wanted to do. I want to spend a bit of time there."
In 2016, the star did Channel 4's Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls.
The show saw Bear, 51, take Ollie and his co-stars, including singer Aston Merrygold, 37, reality TV star Lydia Bright, 34, and comedian Dom Joly, 58, to a remote, uninhabited Pacific island, and challenge them to survive life-threatening conditions with some basic tools.
As Ollie found the experience on the show "extraordinary", he wants to do more adventures like that in the future.
Despite his lavish lifestyle, Ollie admits he likes to live life on a Lambrini budget at times, revealing his secret love for bargain hunting.
Far from relying solely on high-end stores, Ollie says he gets a thrill from loading up his car with cut-price essentials.
He said: "I will tell you what I do, I go to Home Bargains and buy all the stuff I need for the month. I love it - it’s great to fill the whole car up.
"Quite seriously, if you want stocking fillers, Home Bargains, B+M - all that stuff."
Swapping caviar for cut-price contracts, Ollie proves there’s no shame in hunting for a bargain, showing even ballers love a good deal.
He said: "I’ve always loved the finer things in life, but who doesn’t love a great deal?
"We all love a bargain; I think that’s half the situation - we all just love trying to get a good deal on something. We all work hard for what we do, and we all want to make sure it goes as far as it possibly can."
