Hilaria Baldwin has shared the secret to her happy 14-year marriage to actor Alec Baldwin - revealing they have been through "ups and our downs" but they have always "wanted to be there".
Hilaria Baldwin has shared the secret to her happy 14-year marriage to actor Alec Baldwin.
The 42-year-old TV star - who shares seven children with the 30 Rock star - has opened up about how they have kept their relationship strong over the years revealing they have been through "ups and our downs" but they have always "wanted to be there".
She told Fox News Digital: 'Oh, it’s been more than 15 years. We met February 2011. You both have to want to be there.
"Whenever my friends are coming to me, and they’re like it’s a new relationship, or they’re having a bump in it, I say, if both people don’t really want to be there through your difficult moments, through your best moments, then it’s just not going to probably work out.
"Both Alec and I, through our ups and our downs and our sideways, we’ve wanted to be there. And I think that that’s what’s kept us strong."
Hilaria went on to reveal the couple still try to enjoy date nights together - even if it means bringing one of the kids along with them.
She added: "Well, last night it involved taking our youngest with us to dinner because that’s what it was.
"So, I brought my youngest … And I have a babysitter throughout the day, and then at night, no, so we’re like, we want to go out to dinner. And so, the baby comes with us."
Alec and Hilaria have seven children together - Carmen, Rafael, Leonardo, Romeo, Eduardo, Maria, Ilara - while the actor is also dad to Ireland Baldwin, whose mum is his ex-wife Kim Basinger.
The actor recently joked they aren't done having children. He shared an Instagram post in which Hilaria tells him: "I would do anything for you”, as Olivia Newton-John’s tune Hopelessly Devoted to You plays in the background.
Alec then playfully pleads for Hilaria to “have another baby with me”. Hilaria’s face then turns from a cheeky smile into a scowl, with the actress and author captioning the video: “When ‘I’d do anything for you’ meets reality with its terms and conditions …"
Despite the Instagram post, Alec said in an interview with PEOPLE in February 2025 that he "didn’t really want" any more kids but he added: "Every now and then, when the baby gets older and grows up to be about two, I look at [Hilaria] and I go: 'Time to have another."
Hilaria added: "They’re so cute, but my body’s really tired."
