Alan Carr has been crowned the winner of the first ever series of Celebrity Traitors.

After a dramatic finale that saw the comedian and television host, 49, outwit his fellow contestants to claim victory, he also landed the prize of £87,500, which will go to a charity of his choice.

Alan, who became one of the show’s Traitors early in the competition, triumphed in Thursday’s (06.11.25) tense final episode of the BBC reality series.

The Chatty Man host beat fellow finalists Cat Burns, Joe Marler, Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga after weeks of strategic gameplay, alliances and betrayals filmed at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands.

Alan had been among the bookies’ favourites to win, having managed to remain undetected throughout the competition while carrying out two “murders” in plain sight – a feat viewers hailed as one of the most convincing Traitor performances yet.

An extended 70-minute finale was packed with twists and high-stakes decisions, beginning with a train-themed mission that ended in a dramatic explosion.

The final five – singer Cat Burns, rugby player Joe Marler, comic Nick Mohammed, historian and broadcaster David Olusoga, and Alan – faced one last round table where suspicions ran high.

Joe, believing Alan and Cat were the Traitors, made a pact to vote against David while secretly plotting to expose them later.

However, the round table produced a major upset when Cat was voted out in a 3-2 decision.

Joe wrote her name down, but under the game’s rules, Cat was not allowed to reveal she had indeed been a Traitor.

With only four players left, the tension mounted as the group prepared to cast another vote.

Alan accused Joe of deception, and Joe retaliated in kind.

David sided with Alan, and in a surprise twist, Nick also turned on Joe – citing unease over Joe’s apology to Cat before her elimination. Joe was duly banished.

That left Alan, Nick, and David as the final three.

When the group agreed to end the game, Alan was revealed as the last remaining Traitor, securing his victory and the £87,500 prize for a charity of his choice.

Fans quickly flooded social media to celebrate the result.
