Alan Carr and Paloma Faith's friendship soured after they appeared on The Celebrity Traitors last year, but they later made up.
Alan Carr and Paloma Faith will prove they have reconciled by teaming up on The Masked Singer.
The pair's friendship soured last year after she took his Celebrity Traitors 'killing' personally, with comedian Alan, 50, brutally 'murdering' singer Paloma, 45, in plain sight by touching her face in the first elimination - but they later made up.
And now they will prove all is forgiven as Alan has got the Only Love Can Hurt Like This hitmaker a job on ITV's The Masked Singer.
They, ex-Loose Women panellist Stacey Solomon, 36, and another guest, will guess what celebrities are singing in head-to-toe costumes alongside show regulars Maya Jama, 32, Davina McCall, 58, Mo Gilligan, 38, and 65-year-old Jonathan Ross.
A source told The Sun newspaper's TVBiz column: "Paloma made no secret of the fact she was furious Alan had forced her exit from The Celebrity Traitors so swiftly, killing her in plain sight by touching her face.
"But they reconciled, and Alan has sealed the reunion with a lovely new job offer.
"Paloma will be fantastic value on The Masked Singer as she’s an incredible music artist with an ear for tone and musicality, so her guesses will come from a place of real experience.
"But she’s also great on the box because she’s so much fun.
"Her relationship with Alan is also well-known to viewers, so was a real draw for execs."
Last October, the Chatty Man star admitted he and Paloma were no longer friends.
Speaking on his Life’s a Beach podcast, Alan shared: "I’m killing people. I’ve killed Paloma Faith. Tom Daley, I can’t stop killing. I’ve got a taste for it. I’m like, what the f*** is it? Jeffrey Dahmer."
His podcast co-host, 63-year-old DJ Norman Cook, professionally known as Fatboy Slim, then asked: "Aren’t you mates with Paloma?"
Alan replied: "Well I was … I’ll tell you. I’ve killed Paloma Faith; she’s not happy about it."
The comic then addressed Paloma's outspokenness on TikTok.
He said: "There’s been a few, let’s just say little TikTok-y things where she says I’ve let her down because I killed her in plain sight.
"I was desperate, and she went, 'If you were a real friend you wouldn’t have killed me,' but I said I’m the traitor.
"The show’s called The Traitors.
"It’s like going on Naked Attraction and being told, ‘What? I have to take my knickers off’. You know, it does what it says on the tin, I can’t help it."
In November, the Brit Award winner and Alan came face-to-face during BBC's The Celebrity Traitors' companion show, Uncloaked, following the final, in which he won £87,500 for Neuroblastoma UK, a children's cancer charity.
Alan told the 40-year-old host, fellow comedian Ed Gamble, that it was "so awful" to 'murder' his pal.
He added: "I’m a fan of her music, I’ve been a fan of hers for ages. We are friends, we go on each other’s podcasts.
"It absolutely really hurt, it really did."
After apologising to the Changing artist, Paloma, who was joined by their fellow players in the audience, revealed they had reconciled.
She said: "Observing tonight and going through my whole plethora of hormonal emotions, the reason why Alan won and the reason why I was so sad was because we all love him so much.
"I love you so much, and I’m so happy that you won because it’s b***** worth it then.
"I think that most people didn’t vote for you because they’re like, 'How could we vote someone that’s so lovable?'
"You hurt me, and I loved you."
