Lucy Beaumont was going 'insane' on The Celebrity Traitors
Comedian Lucy Beaumont says it was something of a relief to be 'murdered' on The Celebrity Traitors as she was going "insane" trying to figure out the identities of the treacherous trio.
Lucy Beaumont was "driven insane" on The Celebrity Traitors.
The 42-year-old comedian was the latest star to be 'murdered' on the BBC show in Wednesday's (29.10.25) episode after coming face-to-face with Traitors Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr and Cat Burns on a chessboard but was relieved to exit the programme after struggling to figure out who the Traitors were.
Lucy said following her 'murder': "It was shocking but it was thrilling as well because it felt like a bit of a gift to finally find out who the Traitors are.
"It’s been driving me insane.
"When you watch at home, you’re like, why aren’t they getting it?
"Shame I can’t go back into the game and solve it!"
The latest episode saw Jonathan become the first Traitor to be banished from the castle and Lucy had started to suspect that he was up to no good.
She said: "I think they did the right thing by murdering me because I had an idea about Jonathan and I’d have been trying to get the other Faithfuls to look at him still if I were still in the game."
The comic was pleased to get to meet such an eclectic group of stars on the programme and particularly enjoyed getting to spend time with actress Celia Imrie.
Beaumont said: "Spending time with so many really fascinating people was amazing.
“A lot of them are on TV and stuff, but it was sort of like getting to know people for who they really are and people you may never cross paths otherwise.
"Celia was wild – I think she is the coolest person."
Meanwhile, Jonathan admitted that The Celebrity Traitors was "much more intense" than he expected after he was banished at the Round Table.
The 64-year-old presenter said: "It was much more intense than I expected, and much trickier than I expected.
"I think the one thing I've come away with is knowing that one of the reasons I love watching this show so much is that it's so unpredictable, and one of the things about living the experience was it was equally, if not even more unpredictable than I thought it might be. It’s like no other show on TV, and it's like no other experience."
