Suki Waterhouse reveals how Robert Pattinson 'inspired' Weirdo
Actress-turned-musician Suki Waterhouse has admitted to feeling inspired by Robert Pattinson.
Suki Waterhouse's Weirdo was "definitely inspired" by Robert Pattinson.
The 34-year-old singer has revealed that Robert, her fiance, is a huge fan of Weirdo and he actually enjoys when she writes songs about him.
During an appearance on the Nicky at Night podcast, Suki shared: "He is a weirdo, and so he definitely inspired the track.
"He’s my weirdo, and he loves that song. I’ve played him that song before, and then actually when it came out, he probably, like, saw some stuff on Twitter and he’s like, ‘Well I just listened to all the lyrics,’ and he’s like, ‘I love that song.’"
According to Suki, Robert "loves things being about him".
She explained: "Then he was like, ‘You know, you should have called the album Weirdo.’ It would have been a cute album [title]."
Suki - who has been in a relationship with Robert since 2018 - admitted to being surprised by the fan reaction to Weirdo.
She said: "There’s been like times in the last couple of months where I’ve been like, ‘Oh, I think that should be a single,’ and everyone’s like, ‘That’s not a single,’ or ‘I love it.’ It’s weirdly become, I feel like, it’s sort of people’s favourite, and it’s really nice."
Meanwhile, Suki recently revealed that she hopes to make a return to acting one day.
The London-born star intends to return to acting at some stage, but Suki is currently firmly focused on her music career.
Suki - who has been engaged to Robert since 2023 - told Variety: "The desire is still there completely.
"It’s really a thing of managing when. Because tours get booked up, and then trying to manage having a family at the same time."
Suki admits that the movie and music industries are very different.
The actress - who previously starred in films such as Love, Rosie, The Divergent Series: Insurgent, The Bad Batch, Assassination Nation, and Detective Pikachu - said: "It takes a long time to get to a place where you have a bit more of a voice — especially in that industry.
"Being a young woman is f****** brutal. And then when you get older, you realise that no one really has any idea what they’re doing."
