A record-breaking video game collection
Antonio Romero Monteiro has broken the Guinness World Record for his staggering collection of 24,268 video games from various platforms.
Monteiro began his collection when he was 10 years old, in 1987, and his massive haul is valued at $2.1 million.
He uses an app to keep track of the games he owns, but because it's such a large amount, he hasn't been able to play them all.
Monteiro said: "At first, my collection was focused on buying games. Buying and re-buying some of the games I played in my youth. I see video games as an art form, where creativity and storytelling transcend to limitless possibilities. Each generation of video game systems offers greater potential to realise creativity and share stories, challenges and experiences without limits. Some of my fondest memories include video games and their experiences with family and friends.”
