Meeting Mother Teresa
Princess Diana struck up an unlikely friendship with Mother Teresa after their first meeting in 1992. The pair shared a bond rooted in their dedication to helping the poor and met several times. The Nobel Peace Prize winner reportedly referred to Diana as her ‘daughter’. In a touching tribute to their friendship, Diana is also said to have been buried with a set of rosary beads gifted to her by the nun, who was canonised as a saint in 2016.
