Who Framed Roger Rabbit

Robert Zemeckis’ Who Framed Roger Rabbit blends live-action and animation in a 1940s Hollywood where cartoons and humans coexist.

The 1988 movie follows private detective Eddie Valiant (Bob Hoskins) as he investigates a murder involving the zany Roger Rabbit (voiced by Charles Fleischer) and his wife Jessica (voiced by Kathleen Turner).

Despite a completed sequel script by original writers Jeffrey Price and Peter S. Seaman, Zemeckis revealed that Disney is unlikely to greenlight the project.

He explained: “The current Disney would never make ‘Roger Rabbit’ today. They can’t make a movie with Jessica [Rabbit] in it.”
