Class is still in session, and the final bell hasn’t rung for Dewey Finn!

In School of Rock, Jack Black stars as Dewey Finn, a down-on-his-luck guitarist who impersonates a substitute teacher and transforms his uptight prep school class into a rock group, culminating in a battle of the bands showdown.

Directed by Richard Linklater and written by Mike White, the 2003 film also features Joan Cusack and Miranda Cosgrove.

Jack Black has expressed enthusiasm for a sequel, stating: “I wish there’d be a School of Rock 2: Electric Boogaloo. I’m ready!”
