Jack Lowden

British TV presenter Richard Osman claimed last month that the Slow Horses star, 36, was being "strongly considered" as the next Bond.

Osman said of the Scottish actor on The Rest Is Entertainment podcast: "The name I've heard is Jack Lowden.

"It is definitely not a 'he's definitely got it' thing. He is definitely being strongly considered. I think he'd be amazing."

007 could become a family affair for Lowden, as his wife Saoirse Ronan has expressed an interest in playing a "young female villain" in the legendary spy franchise.
