After Timothy Dalton left following 1989's Licence To Kill, the Harry Potter star met with then-producer Albert 'Cubby' Broccoli.

He previously recalled: "I don’t think I felt ready to commit, and I think they were looking at Pierce. I think I would have been a terrible Bond anyway.”
