Shock rocker Marilyn Manson’s concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on September 30, 2017, ended in literal disaster. Just a few songs into his performance of Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This), a massive, heavy stage prop shaped like two giant pistols broke loose from its rigging and collapsed directly on top of the singer. The music cut out instantly as emergency crews flooded the stage to lift the metal framework off Manson, who was carted off to the hospital on a stretcher with severe leg fractures.
