Michael's ever-changing appearance prompted swathes of speculation about plastic surgery, although the star himself only ever admitted to two nose jobs.

However, Los Angeles surgeon Dr. Wallace Goodstein – who worked alongside the King of Pop's surgeon during the 1990s – says that the reality was somewhat different.

Dr. Goodstein told People following Jackson's death in 2009: "He had multiple surgeries. He came in approximately every two months. It was about 10 to 12 surgeries in two years, while I was there.

"(He) had multiple nose jobs, cheek implants and he had a cleft put in his chin. He had eyelid surgery... You name it he had it."
