Michael was given a royal title to match his nickname in 1992 when he was crowned King of an Ivory Coast village.

The Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough hitmaker was given the royal title Michael Jackson Amalaman Anoh as DNA tests were said to have confirmed that the star was descended from the royal Sanwi line.

Jackson donned a traditional toga-style cloth and sat on a golden stool under a sacred tree during a joyous coronation.

When Michael passed away at the age of 50 in 2009, the Sanwi Kingdom paid its respects with a two-day funeral.
